Pandemic
The Covid-19 pandemic threw my life as an artist in a state of suspension. Now that my children were at home 24/7, I had little time to breathe let alone work on my own photography. While my oldest was pretty self-sufficient, my youngest, who struggles with Dyslexia, needed my full attention. The Special Education Department at his school offered us no help so I was forced to create daily lesson plans and activities for him. My background is in photography, not special needs, so of course some things worked, a lot did not, and there were plenty of tears on both ends. Throughout this struggle, I found an opportunity to continue my creative process by documenting the highs and lows of our daily life through photographs.
